Ingredients
1½ cups frozen blueberries
½ cup frozen raspberries
1 tbsp water
1½ tbsp chia seeds
1–2 tsp maple syrup (optional, taste-dependent)
1 tsp lemon juice
Method
Add blueberries, raspberries and water to a small saucepan. Simmer uncovered on low–medium heat for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the berries fully burst and the mixture looks glossy and deeply purple.
Remove from heat and blend until completely smooth using a stick blender or small blender.
Stir in lemon juice and maple syrup (if using).
Sprinkle chia seeds evenly over the surface. Stir very well, wait 2 minutes, then stir again to prevent clumping.
Transfer to a jar and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (overnight is ideal) until thickened.
Texture check
After chilling:
Too loose → stir in ½ tsp extra chia
Too thick → stir in 1–2 tsp water
