If your kids are into chocolate spreads but you’d rather skip the long ingredient list, this is your answer. Same creamy vibe, just with things you actually recognise. It’s quick to make, keeps well in the fridge, and feels like a treat without going full sugar bomb.

01 Ingredients
  • ½ cup hazelnut butter (100% hazelnuts)
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2–3 tbsp maple syrup (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 1 tbsp milk of choice (to thin, if needed)
02 Method
1.

Add hazelnut butter, cocoa, maple syrup, coconut oil, vanilla and salt to a bowl or blender.

2.

Stir or blend until smooth and glossy.

3.

Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.

4.

Add a splash of milk if you want it thinner.

5.

Store in an airtight jar in the fridge or freezer.
