nut-free school lunchbox snacks
kids actually eat

12 school-safe recipes made without nuts, to help keep kids full and focused until the bell.

01

why nut-free matters at school

Lots of schools ask for nut-free lunchboxes to protect kids with allergies (some ban nuts outright, others have nut-free tables). That rules out a lot of the usual quick fixes: nut butters, trail mix and many store-bought bars.

Every recipe here is made without peanuts or tree nuts, so you can pack it with confidence and still send something filling and genuinely good to eat.

02

how to keep nut-free snacks filling

Nuts usually bring the protein and healthy fats. Seeds, beans, eggs, cheese and yogurt can do the same job. Add a complex carb like oats or wholegrain crackers, plus some fruit or veg, and you’ve covered all four pillars of The Lunchbox Formula™: protein, complex carbs, healthy fats and colour.

Always check labels on store-bought chocolate, oats and seeds for “may contain nuts” warnings, and follow your school’s allergy policy (some restrict sesame too).
